Default TouRR de France : 2 weeks and 5000 km on a RR with a backpack

I've made 5000 km with my RR on open roads since the delivery of the bike, April 12 this year.

I'll make 5000 km more next month during my "TouRR de France" (click here for the basic roadbook).

The idea is to spent 2 weeks visiting all my French and Belgian Ducati friends and sharing with them the happiness brought by the RR. A lot of my friends will be happy to test the bike, but some declined the offer because they're afraid by the risk of crashing it...

I'll try to set up a blog and to post some stories and pictures every day, from September 27 to October 12 (exactly 6 month after delivery).

I hope to pass 10000 km before the end of the year and to have the 12000 km service before April 12 2009.

Who knows, within a month I might be the RR owner with the biggest mileage on Earth

Le 6 octobre, en provenance de Bretagne et en partance pour la Vendée. Je dors chez un pote qui habite sur l'île de la Loire... Si tu veux qu'on parte de Nantes ensemble le matin du 7, ce sera avec grand plaisir !

Just call me "iRRon butt"

Back today from 4758 km across France, my bike has now 9498 km. I bet it has the highest mileage on Earth

More on my blog TouRR de France, with a lot of pics, but not enough time on the road to translate the daily posts in English.

I've met 3 RRs during the trip : #33 devoted to track in Brussels, with tuned heads and titanium race exhaust giving more than 200 rwhp, and 2 stret RR's in Paris and Brest.

Bike totally OK for riding, just put fuel and run... About 15 Ducati friends tested the bike, and were totally amazed

Pierrecol,
How many kilometers do you get to a tank? I went for a ride on a 16RR yesterday, filled up the tank & 100 Km later the fuel light was on.
Cheers

About 120-130 riding calmly on straight lines, 100-110 riding hardly on curvy roads...

Doesn't give much scope for doing a runner does it.
