Default a few questions........

for those of you who have done the testastretta swap into a 748,916,996.
first i know you have to make spacers for between the motor and frame but is all the spacing to one side or split evenly to get the chain to line up?
next is what throttle bodies are you using? stock shower type or 996 dual injectors.
and last what harness and ecu? i was going to use a 998 harness but if i could use the stock one and get an eprom made for my ecu that would be great. thanks for all help in advance,
chris

You can check with Connander or ActionJacksen here on the board about fitting the engine, I beleive they fit straigh in without any spacers.

If you use the 1.6 computer and 998 or 999 throttlebodies I have eprom for that combo.

You're also going to need to get a 998 exhaust or have your current setup modified. And a 998 or 748R airbox.
Good luck with your swap, I've thought about doing this with my 996 sometime ( a long time) in the future.

yea i know but i only had a 45mm half termi system and ill sell it to recoup some cash.....i think you need a 996r,996rs or 998s exhaust because the 999 motor is deep sump...i think
thanks for the heads up tho

If you are using a non R or sps type 916/748 frame you can still fit 998 throttle bodies with a small amount of trimming. The 999 throttle bodies wont fit unless you cut the frame.
