I've had mine for about 3 years now bought from you on E-Bay, as I've said I'm very happy with it, it's one of the best bits of aftermarket Ducati kit I've ever bought, in nearly 30 years of Ducati ownership,
I'd recommend them to anybody as better than Yoyodyne or Evo's products.
But I'd still swear on a stack of Bibles that it was an MPL part, having met some of the guys from MPL...
I'd still take that oath!

......I don't want to get anybody into trouble, but I did speak to people from MPL and I believe what I was told, if the slave cylinder I've got wasn't made by MPL, it was made by someone who had a CAD/CNC copy of an MPL unit.
I've worked in the bike/retail trade and I know that you should NEVER divulge your sources...
But on the internet, you should never claim to do something that you don't actually do as the world is very small these days; on this point I'll refer you to your earlier post...
You claimed to manufacturer parts that you sell, which I don't think you actually do, I think that you sell things that you buy in or have made for you.
Which was the point of my earlier reply.
I look on these forums as a place to help out other enthusiasts, not a place to hawk my wares.
I maybe wrong on this point, but it's my personal philosophy.

to anyone interested making their steel or carbon tank more durable and longer lasting :
Don't buy something claimed to be new and without flaws if the first thing it requires is this rubber aircraft shit to be applied, in order for it to not leak! You old useless scammers will try anything to trick people into buying your shitty products!!!!!!

steve
it sounds like you are accusing me of being dishonest. you say you dont want to get anybody in trouble...if you persist in your claims and accusations i will ask a lawyer what i can do about it. i wont warn you or comunicate with you at any other point before i do that. so you could just get yourself into trouble.

ill say it once more:

my cylinders are not made by mpl nor from cad or cnc copys of an mpl unit. im sure you could get in to big trouble for claiming somthing like that on an international board like this one with what ever dubious purpose you might have for doing so. you could be accused of internationally damaging someones name, damaging their business or both. and who knows...a couple of other things that i havent thought of because im not a lawyer. but at this point as i have nothing to hide and it could be of interest to the people reading this thread i will divulge a few details about myself and the products that i sell. i am an aircraft engineer. i work for a rather large european airline. i am an enthusiastic owner of italian motorcycles which in themselves are not always perfect. which prompted me to use my expertise to perfect a few things that niggled me. i also made my own carbon parts. YES STEVE, I MADE THEM MYSELF WITH MY OWN HANDS!!! including a complete fairing for my SPS. however, i discovered that there was one manufacturer of carbon parts that did a better job than i so i purchased his items for my MV. they are very high quality parts, which led to me re-selling his items. yes steve you are correct on that point and i never claimed that i manufacture all the parts that i sell with my own bare hands. allthough a few of them i actually do!!
my cylinders are made from a company that i comissioned to do so because im not a cnc machinist nor do i have the expensive machinery to do the job in the high quality that i demand. that company is not MPL nor do they have any connections to MPL. the design is very simular to MPL but definatly not a copy. if it was MPL why would i want to deny that? MPL have a very good name for the very high quality of their products!!
but on that point would you accuse BMW, Porsche or Mercedes of being dishonest because they commision other manufacturers to make most of the parts that their cars consist of? they are in fact still the manufacturer.
steve, im not just a re-seller i am actually an expert manufacturer. i also understand what i sell.
i could close on this point but im really getting in to this reply
another example : i hated the black plastic mirrors on my ducati from the first day i bought it.... so i painted them....since 2001 i sell re-painted ducati mirrors ...i actually do the painting myself because i cant find to this day any paintshop that meets the quality that i demand at a good price ( i got second place for a paintjob i did in a custom car design competition back in 1986 which was carried out in the whole of germany. so you see steve, i can do that aswell )

steve, you say you want to help other enthusiasts on this forum, how did your comments about me and my products help them?...you create the impression that i just want to "hawk" my wares. i feel insulted. i feel insulted from your comments, in fact so insulted that if we were to meet in a pub i would probably break your nose for that. and believe me, im not only capable of personally manufacturing almost every product that i sell but also capable of breaking your nose. i dont think that you have half the expertise that i do, half the brains or half the decency. what can you do steve?? what are you an expert at? you are probably good at somthing else apart from being a dickhead and claiming somthing that isnt true on an international forum for what ever reason you might have for doing so. i havent got the time or the interest to read all the comments you have posted or use whatever other means to find out more about you and the possible reasons for your comments...so i just wonder what it is that you are good at.

Hi,
To quote the immortal bard...
"Methinks the man protests to much"
I'll treat your threats of physical violance with the contempt that they deserve, Englishmen aren't afraid of blustering Germans!
History should have taught you this fact.
Are you sure your given name isn't Norbert as he seems to talk Bollox as well?
Which shall I expect a strongly worded letter from your lawer or a meeting with you at a pub of your choice?
At 50 years old my nose is still in one piece, studying the noble art taught me years ago how to ride a punch whilst defending myself.
In one of your posts you claimed to manufacture your own Slavecylinders only to backtrack in a later post.
I'd consider this inconsistant, an unkind person may think otherwise.
I'm a great believer in cutting out the middleman in the pursuit of saving money, then passing on the relevent information to forum members so that they can also save their hard earned cash.

stevieboy you are riding yourself even deeper in the sh.t and providing more proof of how missinformed or retarded you are...IM AN ENGLISHMAN YOU IDIOT!!! i didnt threaten you either, merely stated a fact. and you still havent said what you are good at apart from providing more proof of how good you are at being missinformed, twisting words or just assuming/inventing things that have no connection to reality and spreading it about on the internet like the dog sh.t you probably put your foot in every day, and for your own sake dont start trying to be smart with history, you will probably embarass yourself even more with your lack of knowledge on that front aswell.
oh, almost forgot, it would provide me with great pleasure to deform your nose, if your defence is in the same league as your information about me and my products then it will be a pushover and even greater entertainment than this thread......
thats all for now folks...stay tuned for the next exciting episode of lilac stevie and his quest to get noticed.

Hi,
Are you familar with the phrase "Keyboard Warrior"...??!
Are you sure your name isn't Norbert? You seem to have the same style...
I have no quest to be noticed, I have no need to, as I'm not trying to sell anything to anybody, niether nor do I say one thing in one post then retract it in another.
I just post helpful things to other forum members, although sometimes I'll point out that other posters are being, how can I put this? 'Economical' with the truth or inconsistant with their replys...

Steve

i can immagine that this thread is entertainment for some, others are pissed off with it...but as someone said it is like a nasty car accident...you cant help looking. the way i see it is that for what ever reasons he may have stevieboy provoked this car accident by trying to run me over with comments that are just not true...the only reason that he has actually come up with so far for wanting to do such a thing is it that he wants to help other forum members by being a "great believer in cutting out the middle man"...thats ok i suppose, but he did not do his homework beforehand...which anyone with an overlarge mouth should do. (and probably a bent nose)
heres a bit of advertising for mpl...great stuff...very well made high quality gear. (btw, just for your info steve. i have never even ever spoken to anyone from mpl!! but i do know their products)
the slave cylinder they make falls into that high quality category...however, lilac stevie in his quest to get attention made a few big mistakes, he stated that my cylinder was an mpl unit which it is not. he stated that i am a re-seller and not a manufacturer..nothing much wrong in that i suppose apart from the fact that its just not true, but nothing to get excited about...it was the way he wrote it...made me look like im a liar. i dont like that at all.
then to prove how misinformed he is he carried on "putting his foot in it", blundering on like a wounded elephant in a bone-china shop he also insulted the germans. then he wants to cut out the middle man...well just assuming for a minute that my unit was actually an mpl unit then that would be another big mistake of his...because mpl charge 149 euros for the slave cylinder they manufacture, i charge 109 euros. so how does his belief in cutting out the middle man help the people in this forum? 40 euros ist abot 60US...thats not peanuts...didnt save anyone any money there stevieboy.
he also say that im not the manufacturer because i comission a company to manufacture them for me. i have an example that you might understand steve:
if while eating your cornflakes one morning you discover that the biggest spoon you can buy on the market is just not big enough for your mouth. what can you do about it? well you could grin an bear it (thats gonna be a big grin) or you could decide to make a busines out of the big mouth spoon market and manufacture a real big spoon...would you build it yourself? ...not unless you have nothing better to do or you happen to own the equip and knowledge to do just that...you would approach a manufacturer who would do the job for you...is it then the "stevies big mouth spoon" or does it belong to the actual person who made the damn thing???? nothing to do with middle man steve.
i rest my case.
thats all for now folks.

Default exactly my point!

kelvin, just don't have the time to go into details. Not to undermine your efforts, but you must know you put yourself in this predicament yourself by posting anything of value on this thread! (no accident to begin with, but started by a forum mem.Neil whom could not read and adhere to the auctions stated policies, changing it all around with a nasty attitude! b4 giving it a chance to work things out) later to start another forum id s as acolyte to support his crap. Obvious there is no moderator on this site to check for accuracy nor is there time to, but surely everyone will agree in a chance of defending one's word
Anyway, here's for more entertainment: how about this car wreck.....

you can still see the skid marks from the bad-boy's ruined suspension and its body kit* after assuming I was already at Laguna Seca Ca. before going off w. a 360 of the 101south freeway *(&*

" enjoy the beer and nuts!"

Oh dear I seem to have poked my sword/small stick of truth into a hornets nest here...
It seems funny to me that Old Norbert has poked his head over the parapet, these two guys (or are they one and the same person?) seem to have the same command of the English language, both of them have a pretty poor vocabulary that seems to run out fairly quickly, they then fall back onto insults or threats...
(This seems odd as one of them claims to be English, if this really is the case? I think that it's a very poor reflection on the state of the educational system in the country at the moment, sadly we seem to be flooded out with illiterate people at this moment in time, I blame the parents!)
They seem to be a pair of 'Ninjas' of the 'Keyboard Warrior' cast!
One of them sells absolute crap and the other (if indeed they're two different people?) sells things he has made for him but claims that he's made them himself...

Steve...
What ever colour you'd like to add to my name Norbert/Senna?
Whoever you're tonight?
The choice is yours, but please don't spend the rest of the evening arguing amongst yourself.
Your public is waiting to read the next instalment...

Hey you really crack me up, do you think/decide which personality you're going to post in or just go with the flow?
Do you think that it might have anything to do with the fumes from all of that epoxy you wallow in?
By the way I'm still waiting for the strongly worded letter, although I'm having trouble posting as the tears of laughter are making it hard to see!
Quick this could be your chance I may have let my guard drop, now's the chance for your 'Ninja' skills to be used...
If you can't get one over on me, you might be able to fool a few members of the public but possibly not after they've stopped laughing at this thread.

Steve

stevie...you might be right about my english, having lived outside of england for the last 25 years its quite a normal development that i can live with...and im sure you and everyone else can understand what im writing...but you seem to have lost the connection to reality on about everything else and are acting very juvenile. now you have even gone so low as to want to insult my parents, along with the germans and englands education system etc. im almost ashamed now of also coming from the sw of england. but everyone knows there is always a village idiot. the poor village of Callington has you... now you are also adding impatience to the list of things that make you the idiot that you are, i hope they havent evicted you, it could makes things that little bit more difficult if my lawyer decides that it really is going too far. thanks norbert for taking my side after he also involved you in this madness for some strange reason. this particular village idiot seems to be on a self destruction mode. just let him get on with it.
