More flexibility than I have with the 1.6M ecu. Can do hi/lo injection, more advanced features... ADL handles other data gathering on the bike not done by the M4 (2nd lambda, gyro, accels, etc.). I can also index video to the data stream... so that should be kewl...

No shorts so far, will power up/test coils today maybe start it too.

You should be happy with that setup. I have been running the same for a number of years now with no problems. Do you you have a map for the M4 yet?

Tricklidz, the site is www.motec.com Now they sell the ADL2 or you can get a Sport Dash which is what I'd get for a streetbike.

Weed, I've cobbled together a couple of maps from a 1.6M calibration I did. You don't happen to have any do you? Would be a huge help if you did!

I can PM you my current map if you like. It is for a 955 but it should be fine. My motor is a 94 SP & had a fair bit of work done to it. It has about 135 RWHP so all you will need to do is tune it for fuel & maybe play with the ign map
Cheers

Does anyone have any info on the shift light option for the Motec dash units. Pics? Price?

Weed, if you could be kind enough to PM me the file that would be awesome. The map values themselves I'd probably mod anyway, but other elements of the file would be extremely, extremely helpful. I will be mapping MBT/LBT for the 916 motor in it now, mirroring that map on a 1.6M, then installing a 996 engine and remapping the M4 to remain with the 996.

Tricklidz, I'll try to take and post a pic of the dash/shiftlight assembly tonight. The one I have is a few years old, has 2 amber lights, 1 green and 1 red. I am using the red as the oil idiot light, the green as the neutral light, 1 amber for lo fuel, and 1 amber for upshift light. The neutral, fuel, and oil LED's are wired via the wiring harness, the shift light is driven by the M4. I will probably convert the low oil pressure LED to operate driven by the ADL on a specific pressure/rpm alarm profile.

Thanks for the replies guys!
