I don't know if any of you have prior experience with this company or not but I figured I'd throw this out there as a caution to potential buyers. This company obviously doesn't know the bikes they make product for much less even the products they sell. Here's my email correspondence from earliest to latest regarding this auction..
Do these allow for stock air filters or will after-market versions be required?
Thanks

Hello,
Our air runners are:
Street Version - coming with provisions for the turn signals and filter
Happy bidding
Opeak inc
(OK, so they want to use bold big print. I take this as I'm an idiot or cant read an auction. I'll play that game)
----- ME -----
Thanks for the clarification since the auction didn't mention anything about filters, only turn signals. Also,my original question was in regards to stock or after-market air filters. I also see that you offer a sport version of these air tubes. So would these take stock or after-market air filters?
thank you for your time and attention in this matter.

Hi Steve,
I can not answer your question for the aftermarket filter.
I'm very sorry.
If you still want to purchase a good product please welcome to our auctions
Toni
Opeak inc
WHAT? You don't even know if the air tubes YOU manufacture take OEM or aftermarket filters?
My other complaint - and this is really starting to get to me - where has proper grammar and sentence structure gone??? I hate dealing with "business people" that want my money and write things like "...please welcome to our acutions". WTF is that?
Ok, I'll get off the soapbox now.
Anyway, these folks aren't getting my money on sheer principle and if this helps any of you save a buck or less frustration then all the better. What's the old addage... If a customer is happy they'll tell one person but if they're unhappy they'll tell 10.
Steve

Steve. I share your laments about grammar. For example, in the first sentence of the above paragraph, the author should have used a colon and parentheses and not the em dash he chooses. Beyond that, the author misspells, "grammar" and then offers three question marks.
In the second, he neglects to add the appropriate commas before his quotation marks. Appalling.
Cheers brother. I'm just having a little fun with you.
I am sure this is the same cheapo carbo makers that have been on Ebay for awhile, they just keep changing there name. The make carbon parts for ducati, but you get what you pay for. I bought a pair of air runners awhile back (guessing these are the same people) for like $50 shipped. I got the runners, one was street, one was race(at least they where a pair), and they fit like crap. After an hour with the dremel they worked well enough for my trackbike. Just give that some thought if you are looking for nice carbon for a duc, you gotta pay the big dollars...
But then again, I'm not trying to sell you anything or want your business so I'm OK with it.

Somewhere along the line this original intent of this post got diluted into a spelling and punctuation bee. That's far from the intent. As I noted, the grammar frustration was my rant and opinion.
The real message I'd hoped would be taken was that if a representative of a company doesn't know or can't be bothered to find out a very simple question about a product they want your money for they don't deserve your money.
Some of you obviously can look past spelling and sentence structure in business dealings. Good for you. I see it as a note of potential things to come. If businesses can't at least pretend to be professional or intelligent what are they going to do when it comes time for repair, replacement, shipping issues, or simple post-sale assistance. Would you buy your Ducati parts from a guy dressed like a clown or in some shady back alley? That's the visual equivalent of my issue with this company.
Further, I titled the post as a "Caution". I didn't say "Stay Away - DO NOT BUY!” I don't have experience with their products and never insinuated that I did. For all I know it could be great stuff - although I HIGHLY doubt it. In my experience if a seller comes off as inept it's a definite sign of worse things to come. Take for example this whole Motochristo carbon fender debacle. He wrote worse than my 8 year old nephew and two months and $140 later I have nothing but a string or half-coherent emails to show for it.
Spend your money how you want, where you want. Caveat emptor.
Steve

Nei jeg mener ikke noe med den mot Danmark!!!
Det er en vanlig engelsk setning fra "Hamlet"
Meningen er at "noe ikke er normalt..."
Du kan bare søke på google eller andre og se selv!!
Takk og ha det!
Neil.
