Default Will 999 forks fit 996/998 triple clamps?

Does anybody know if 999 forks will fit 996/998 triple clamps or does the whole front clip have to be replaced?

2nd question; is it possible to find front brake rotors for a 999 wheel that are 10mm offset so that they'll work with a 996/998?

I'm screwing around with a bunch of different projects right now.

I believe that the forks will fit the triple clamps OK.

I hope so, as I have a set in reserve for my 998 if I have a really bad day.

I never checked the caliper mounts for offset, as I would swap the fork bottoms over so that I could still use the 998 mudguard.

As for the discs, I think 999 discs have a different bolt config, so together with the offset this looks like a no-go.

I will be interested as well to see anyon else's comments.

The forks will slide right in the clamps, but there are wheel, axel, rotor issues.

Well I have worked through a couple of amalgamations of this thanks to board members like Chris Steedman and Department of Suspension.....However mine is not using a 999 wheel.

you need the wheel and rotor, i machined a spacer for the rotors to space them out to work with the 998 wheel

2nd question?

Will the brake calipers off a 998 fit the fork bottoms of the 999 forks?
