A lot of parts for later year models will still fit the 1995 916 thanks to Ducati's
progressive evolution. I ordered a Ducati shop manual for the 1995 916 today
hoping it will help more than the Haynes I have now. I just hope the shop I ordered it from can still get one.
I am just about at the point where I can say the 916 project is finished, for now. I have a lot of work yet but most of the parts are here. The Ohlins rebiuld kit for the rear shock from Cogent Dynamics should be here this week. I am replacing the clutch with the take off from the Fila, brand new unit. I have a light weight fly wheel from Nichols and the top triple clamp from them as well. The black top triple clamp is very sweet!! I got this because the stock unit with it's flat top surface would reflect sunlight right into my eyes.
I have a new water pump seal assembly to go on, just because I will be in there anyway. I have the 10 gage wire to replace the two 12 gage stator
wires so no more fried wiring. I got a new dry cell battery from MotoWheels
with the aluminum battery box and hard wired all the spaghetti wiring behind it. When I take the rear shock off I will clean and grease all of the swing arm bearings and replace the two "O" ring seals back there. I have already rebuilt the forks with Ohlins guts and they are fantastic!! I have replaced the stock pre muffler mid pipes with the Arrow straight through units and added an Arrow chip to the ECU. I got some new DP brake pads to replace the EBC units that I did not like for both front and rear brakes. I got the EVO slave for the clutch and a new EVO oil breather because the old ones were leaking.
After I get this all done it will be off to the DYNO and have the air fuel mixture on the ECU dialed in. The time it is taking me to do all of this if I were to pay myself I could retire. Yakity Yakity Yak. I am pretty jazzed up about the whole thing. I can hardly wait until summer. I will be taking this bike to the races at Laguna in July. This 916 has gone from rags to riches just like Little Orphan Anney.

As Shazam suggested, the 996 parts fiche works for almost everything for the 916 with the exception of a few parts.
Also, I've got the factory service manual in Adobe Acrobat format for the '95-916/748 if needed. It's nearly 20 mb in file size so I'll have to load it on the server for you to pull down.........
That's a great resource for sure, the only thing is the multilingual aspect which bloats the file size to 4x needed. The one I have is english only so it's 1/4 the file size, plus it's free.
After I uploaded the file I downloaded it and checked to make certain it worked, so I have no idea what the problem is you are having. Try to pull it down again, or I can split it into sections and email it to you.
Is there any way that you can put it back up for a limited time please?
