Default Anybody ever have leaking slave cylinder from evo????

My evo slave cylinder is leaking again

I just installed my new clutch basket and plate and checked the other side and damn thing is leaking again.

Do I have evo replace the slave or is there something I possibly done wrong?

I did torque the hub to 186 nm too

I had one. Called them up and they sent you a new o-ring/seal kit.

From looking at the o-rings I pulled out, seems like they changed the o-ring design from a traditional circular o-ring to more of a square cross section (with 2 distinct sealing edges). Not sure when they changed the design. My slave cylinder came on a bike I bought used last summer.

Hope this helps

They make some good stuff, like the slave cyl.,kickstand by-pass, and low temp fan switch to name a few.

Yes they are good people and this is the second time this happened and yes I did receive a new seal kit the thing is its leaking again

So im thinking either the fluid im using Brembo 6000 is to thin or something is wrong with the slave itself.

OK I think I figued it out no thanks to you guys

When I installed the new paulimoto clutch

The first pull on the clutch and it may have over thrown the slave cylinder either allowing a little air in the line or allowing some fluid to pass through.

Just a guess though, I may be wrong I am wrong more and more these days

bleed the line and nothing so far

Is your pressure plate bearing in good shape?

Yeah its brand new came with the new paulimoto pressure plate

I too thought about the bearing, is it thinner maybe causing the rod to be pushed further.

but after dissassembly and reinstall the slave seems to be fine, I hope

I just installed mine today and nothing so far???? I did notice that you really need to crank on the bango to smash the crush washers! My question is why is there a bearing inside the bore? What's the purpose of it?

I beleive the bearing is for the push rod just in case it moves in the case.

just my guess

I thought the bearing was to locate the pushrod so it didn't wobble in the bore. That and to make it smoother so that if and when it rotates, it wasn't rubbing anything.

Would be better if they didn't leak in the first place, but glad to hear they're standing behind their products. Seems to me that the slightly more expensive alternative is better about not leaking.

maybe im just anal but its one of those parts that i check every pre and post ride I check all the places that possible fluid can end up on the back tire.

but really the guys at evo stand behind the product 100% otherwise they wouldn't offer the lifetime warranty,

chris what alternative are you talking about?
