Default The 999 is DONE with its transformation!

We'll the 999 is starting its transformation from a yellow hornet to a Breil replica.
I'll post pictures as soon as something fun starts happening!

I do have to say, I am a little dissapointed at Ducati for the lack of tool-less fairing removal on this bike. And what kind of Race Derrived Company makes you remove the front wheel to get the fender off??

It is an awesome look, but someone beat you to it. Who cares though. I say go for it. Better looking than any Fila rep.

Exactly. The sticker kit is in route. The bodywork goes to the painters on Monday. The wheels, subframe, and various other parts go out for powder on Wednesday. The full exhaust will be here on Monday. Shouldn't be to long untill she's ready to roll. Unfortunately the only thing I am not doing is the Red frame. I do not have the drive to take her down that far, plus I like the look without the red frame.
Now if I could only find the exhaust shield/heel guard thats on that Breil bike!

No one has any comments about the fender? haha

She likes to keep me company. Makes a great gopher! The only reason she is thrilled though is because she is spending my money buying herself stuff on Ebay!

He obviously had to buy new stickers to install after the wheels were powder coated. He must have put them on opposite sides.

Made a little more progress.....
Subframe is off and at powder coater (Satin black).
Rearsets, linkages, kickstand off to powder coaters (Satin black).
Powercommander installed.
Cycle Cat pressure plate, spring cups and stainless springs installed.
Emissions removed.
The hard part of the exhaust is on.
Rear sprocket installed (38T Vortex ALU)

I got a very large free bag of stainless fasteners for everything from work!

Slow progress.
Exhaust is wrapped. Rearsets and kickstand are now powder coated. Waiting for the new pegs to show up though. I also made a custom heal guard/exhaust shield for the right side. I think it turned out OK.
The old solid clutch cover got abused by the dremel and a can of clearcoat!
