Default Which service manual?

Does anyone have experience with either of these? Any preference or both?

I have the Haynes manual for 748, 9xx...
it's pretty good.
could use more pics, but has a lot of useful info as well, torque settings, etc...

the downloadable parts lists from the duc website is helpful if using the Haynes manual, and if you're not 100% familiar with all the parts on your bike.

The answer is "YES". When performing maintenance, you shoudl buy all the manuals you can. The factory manual has line art that sucks ... but sometimes works better than the pics in the haynes manual. And the DesmoTimes manual then fills in the gaps left from both factory and haynes manuals.
