Default Feedback on riding books

Guys,
I've received two books for Christmas from my beloved. "Sport Riding Techniques" by Nick Ienatsch and "Twist of the Wrist" by Kieth Code. Any feedback on either of them? Like most here I'm a road rider, not a racer, but have a facination with the abilities of my bike ( '01 748) Cheers! Tonto

Sport Riding Techniques is great. Twist of the Wrist is ok, but Code's writing is just plain torture.

Twist of the Wrist II is much better, and much more readable. I also highly recommend Sport Riding Techniques- a great winter read!

Agreed. Just got the Sport Riding Tech book too having read Codes book. Read the Code book first but. It will make the other book seem more agreeable.

Smooth Riding the Pridmore Way is a good read - particularly page 141 (I'm pictured there).

I can't deal with Code's EGO. (when it's THAT big, it should be capitalized) But I've read his books. He's like Tolstoy - reading's a chore. At least with Tolstoy, the reading becomes a joy after the first 700 pages.

Nick Ienatch's book is good, and I do like Reg's book.

Sport Riding Techniques helps with the street and track. It is a good read. Code's books are simply ok

I haven't read the other book and Keith Code labours his points too much but A Twist of the Wrist Vol 2 is the book that started it all- Keith has managed to put into plain English (a bit too plain sometimes) how to go faster safer, really starting from the basics and assuming nothing.

A Twist of the Wrist 2 helped me knock seconds of my lap time when I first started riding.

I think you'll find more real-world wisdom in Nick Ienatsch's book, but enjoy them both! All of Code's books are very good too, but I'd say they're a bit dated and definitely more focused specifically on track riding. Different sides of the same coin, I suppose.
