Default Which system for 05 749

I am trying to decied on which full system for my 05 749.
It is between the termi or the Leovince. I have access to a dyno and will be running a PC3 with a custom map so the Leo appeals to me becasue I will not be paying for a new ecu. But i would appreciate everyones sugestions! Thanks

Call Mark at Duckshop. I thik he has seen one of the only Leo Systems that has been made, and has also had it on the dyno. He will know.

The Leo looks cool, thats for sure

Just notified by DNA yesterday 11-18 that 999R model exhausts are delayed from November to "hopefully December" delivery from Italy. We have 3 on order with 1 available for stock.

Have you taken a look at the Akropovic system? Looks awesome in terms of fit and quality. Price is about the same as the other two.

Well unfortantly I like the termi . but looks like i will end up with either the Leo or maybe the motocourse. I have had the Akrapovic exhuast on my GSXR 1k. It is very nice finish and very very light, well the Full TI system that i had. But was the worst pipe I have ever had in terms of performance. It made good power above 8000rpm on that bike but I lost a LOT of low and mid power. Since then i have always been very turned away from there exhaust because of that. If you look at there web site and at the Dyno graph for the 749/999 It looks like there is a loss in low end power as well. Does anyone have this exhaust on there bike? If so can you confirm this?

while a larger diameter header _can_ result in a loss of power low and or in the mid, i think that kind of symptom can also be the result of the air/fuel mix not being dialled in appropriately to account for the change in flow. how did you tune the GX'r to run with the system? how are you planning on tuning the 749?

I had a powercommander on the Gsxr and I had tried both the akrapovic maps for the bike as well as a custom made map. The air fuel ration was correct at 11.8 to 1 as I recall, It was just how the exhaust was designed, from my understanding. I then changed to the arata which was a day and night difference. It had a gain across the low and mid range and almost the same gain in the high rpms as the akrapovic did. I wouldnt mind another one of there exhuasts but I just dont not want to loss and power in the low and mid range rpms.

As far as my 749, It will have a powercommander and custom map as well. Hopefully the pc3 and quick shifter will be here next week so i will play with it and see how it does with a factory bike.
