I need: 748 Starter or Starter Parts

I need either the brushings from inside a starter on a 2000 748 (because one of mine is worn down to the wire) or a whole new starter ASAP! If anyone knows where I can get these parts or by a used starter I would greatly appreciate it. I check ebay daily...any other suggestions helpful!

I have one too.

I would like to see if I could just find the brushings first before I pay $100 for the whole starter. If I can't then I'll probably buy it from one of you guys. Thanks

That's way cool! How did you find the correct one for the Duc starter? The parts look right but I can't see the connection to the Ducati starter motor.

Ok....... here's a tweaked image that shows a little more detail. The top item in the blister pack is the second brush that attaches the starter cable, shown with the spacer, and attachment nuts. How many different 2-brush plates could there be? This is listed for a late model Gixxer 750. It's exactly like the one I took out of mine on Saturday night.......... YMMV

Received the replacement brush plate and brushes for my 916 starter today. The part #ND-S is the correct item. Delivered UPS for $33 total.........
