Default ST3 Upgrades

I just completed my 1k mile service and added the following to my ST3:

Remus Titanium cans
heli-bars
-1 front, +1 rear sprockets
dropped foot pegs 1"

So far I like the changes, but I need to put some miles on it to see if there are any negitives. As I expected, the heli-bars have me up in the wind a little more (I'm 6'2"). I'm going to look into a ZG windsreen to improve the air. The pull is strong and the front comes up with little effort.

FYI. I found that the ZG +3" on my '03 ST4S actually put more turbulence at my helmet level than the stock height. I am 5"10" though.

CH,
Thanks for the feedback, what model # is the zg +3"? I just ordered the ZG ST model (23-704). It's not the most attractive, but it looks tall based on the pics.

I put on the zg windscreen and it's a big improvement - great combination with the heli-bars. I actually ran it up to 136 mph yesterday chasing down a cbr 1k. I wish I could tell you how it performed at that speed, but I was too wrapped up in the moment to think about raising up enough to test the wind. I'm still sporting a woody from that ride .

I should have left it at "neat-o" - it's such a powerful drug.

Btime,
whats your opinion of the Remus? Considering Remus or Arrow. I have an ST3.

Personally I like the Remus cans over the Arrow. If your bike is red the titanium Remus cans look awesome beacuse of the red Remus decals. The openings (actually exits in the end caps) are larger than the Arrows too, I think 54mm. With the extra noise from the open air intake system and the large Remus exhaust system, your bike will definitely sound awesome!!! One more thing to check is the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) these have all been WAY!!! off from the factory so Id check that too, set to 150mv, add a PCIII USB to suit fueling.

I am not 100% sure but I think that ST-3 has the new linjer TPS that is reset with computer software and not set to 150mV.

As I said I am not 100% so I can be wrong.

Jocke...............
