Default 2000 St2

I am looking at a 2000 St2 for $7500 with 3k miles. Seems kind of steep to me. What would you expect to pay for this bike. Anything to look out for with this model. Need a comuter bike to replace my ss which is race prepped. Like the 2 valves. How expensive are the hard bags to get and I'm guessing the usual mods i.e. pipes, air filter, remap are easily available. Thanks in advance.

The hard bags came standard on the ST2. Are they missing?

If your comfortable with the 2-valve engines (like me) then you will love the ST2!!! I would think an offer in the $6500 range would be appropriate simply because the mileage is so low, but only if it has the bags.

Default hard bags

No hard bags, so I think an offer of 6k would be appropriate. Can you still get the hard bags for that year and color bike (blue) and what do they go for??

Bags will cost you more than $500 from the dealer, so you may consider a lower offer than $6K. I would also find out why they are missing. As I mentioned before, the bags came standard. Was the bike wrecked? Does it still have the brackets? The ST2 and ST4 (s) bags were made by Nonfango, which is no longer in business. New bags are made by GIVI for Ducati. The new Top case I bought for my ST2 is a GIVI bag with Ducati badging, and works in conjunction with the Nonfango saddlebags.

You can buy bags from the dealer, or hit Ebay-they seem to pop up every couple of weeks. Even if they are the wrong color you can have them painted, or buy the plastic covers in the color you need and put them on.
