I don't do an excessive amount of night riding, but when I do, the roads near my house are very dark. I'm surprised that you find the stock lights to be fine - I'm willing to bet the stock light on my '87 Ninja was better! As for the install, it wasn't too bad. I'm not the best mechanic, but my friend made up for that. I'm glad that I got to watch someone remove my upper fairing a couple of weeks ago (BCM), since I hadn't done it myself yet.
The instructions are excellent. The only thing that could be better is the printout that I made of them. I used a laser printer at work, but the pictures didn't come out well. It would have been nice if they had a color set printed with the kit, but not that big a deal. We had the light installed in about 2-2.5 hours, and then had some issues re-mounting the fairing, including dropping a screw down into one of the side fairings

, but other than that it wasn't too bad.
Cosmetically, it looks great, and so far I'm happy with the performance. I adjusted the lights up a bit when I got home the other night, but I haven't ridden in the dark again yet to test them out.
