'04 ST4S bar adjustments

Tried to adjust the bars inward on my '04 ST4S, but the risers are pinned to the top triple clamp. Makes no sense, only adjustment available is for height, as the riser will slide up and down on the pin. Also find I can't adjust the levers down far enough. I thought the 04 was to have improved adjustments for the bars and levers? Perhaps the risers are pinned for liability reasons. I assume the pins could be removed. Considering Cycle Cat Bar Mounting System. Any one made adjustments to the stock setup?

I tried to adjust mine down too and came up with the same problem it didn't allow for much movement. I guess they didn't put alot of thought into the design.

Or else they just didn't want you adjusting all that.

Removed the pins, but can't rotate the risers back much more than stock location as bar ends are very close to tank at full lock. Stupid design! Going to spring for the Cycle Cat system (http://www.cyclecat.com/DBR25-1.htm), looks very nice and apparently lots of adjustment.

Please post back if the cycle cat system (triple clamp, bars and risers) fits perfectly for the 04 & 05 model ST's. I've wanted them for some time now, but have heard that they may not fit the same.

Put the Cycle Cat DBR25 system on the ST4S. Designed specifically for the ST (see web site). Fit well, lots of adjustment. Is much better. Recommended.
