Picture of the swiss cheese airbox. This mod made some real HP on the dyno. We kept drilling holes until the HP was the same with the tank up or with the tank in the normal (lowered) position. A bit noisy but a nice torque curve.

Well I finally uploaded some footage from a couple years ago. I wonder when all these videos people are uploading to YOU Tube will bring the Internet to a stand-still?

On-Bike footage - on You Tube

On the BCM Dyno - to the 10,500 rpm rev limiter

Is this a BCM motor, a Bruce Meyers motor, or a collaborative effort?

The work was done back in April of 2004 when Bruce still owned BCM. Jay did all the assembly, timed the cams, cut the valve seats, and set the squish. Bruce did the headwork and developed the FI map. The bike was back at BCM in 2005 and Jay did a 6k and some dyno/mapping.

And I'm happy with the end result. I only wish I had started with an ST4S (not available when I bought my 2001) and had gone with a 1036cc kit. The bigger valves in the S head, and the extra displacement would have been even nicer. But it's a fun bike and will hold me over for a while.

Just to wake it up from sleeping.

It looks like the dyno graphs from your runs are are gone. Have you moved them some were?

Were can I find them?

They're still there - I see them fine. If you want I can email them to you, but they're still in this thread and I still see them on my PC just fine.

BTW - the ST4 is still running great. Strong. Doesn't burn a drop of oil. 120HP at the rear wheel is just about right - however 10HP more would be better!!!

Update: three openers and one closer are showing signs of impending failure. I'm replacing all 16 with Megacycle rockers. I guess after 8 years it was bound to show up. No cam damage, no flaking, just darkening patches and the beginning of the end of those 4 rockers. I hope the Megacycle method is reliable. It's not inexpensive that's for sure.

For some reason the original graph in this thread is gone. It's been a long time, but here it is again:
