You could also purchase a Yoyodyne 48t clutch basket only and a 48t clutch plate kit. Contact Fred at Yoyodyne for prices.

I went with the Pro Cutting basket and Barnett clutch pack (alum friction plates). The flywheel has been lightened by 2 pounds and is tight. The damage to the Nichols basket is due to excess clearance right from the start.

The Pro Cutting basket is set up with very little clearance between the tabs and basket slots. It'll be quiet and should last a long time. While I was at it I installed the Vee Two aluminum hub.

I'm not going to buy any more stock factory Ducati clutch parts - too short a life in my application.

There's a German company called MPL who regularly sell a lot of billet stuff on ebay.co.uk

They've got a really cool clutch basket made of aluminium with titanium clips that slide over the basket fingers. The titanium is obviously a lot harder wearing than ally and the titanium clips are replaceable, so in theory the basket should last forever

I know where I will be shopping when my basket needs replacing
