Default Open Clutch cover

I like the concept of an open clutch cover, more sound, more bling, but am unsure of how it would live on the street. I know that Gary Eagan runs one, which is kinda alright with me, but I was wondering if there was any other input I should consider. If the springs rust is this a bad thing? Considering that you'll probably replace the clutch pack before the springs rust enough to threaten the operational integrity.

Was that CF or a Cycle Cat, et. al. For the record, I was talking to Donnie Unger of Ducpond and he recommended Cycle Cat stuff.

Stick...

I just bought/installed the ProItalia billet Black anodized vented clutch cover on my ST4S based on some of the opinions from the guys on this board. It is beautiful, and very strong/protective so the clutch will be protected should something, ahem, happen.

I have also looked at the CycleCat stuff and that is top shelf as well. I decided on the ProItalia as they have a nice "Ducati Corse" logo engraved on the side. Regardless, either will be excellent!

You had asked about the OEM springs eventually rusting, and that is correct as has been mentioned. I am going to install Stainless Steel springs/hardware over the winter.

Hmmmm... okay, I used the "attachment manager", but they didn't attach. I'll try one more time... Sorry for the multiple posts while trying to get this to go. If it doesn't, can someone tell me HOW to upload pictures? Thanks!!

Well, here goes, I'll try again on the pictures. Until I have a few moments to check out an off board Image Poster, I'll have to use the board attachment manager... THANKS Dave!

This is the ProItalia vented CC in anodized Black. Just a beautiful piece of function/aesthetics!
