I was adding some new Arrow product to my site and this bike caught my attention. I'd ride that any day, I think it looks amazing. Lots of people say the MTS is "fugly" but I don't see how they could say that about this bike... IMO change the footrests and ride ride ride...
But what do I know, I think the 999R is one of the most beautiful bikes ever!
I almost wish the cans were a little shorter so that the tail light and some smaller signals could go above them. Then just a small plate bracket underneath - that would be one sweet backyard!
the bend in the pipes is just wrong, doesnt flow with the lines of the bike. the only cans that seem to like right on this bike are termis, dont know why the guys who designed these pipes can't follow a simple line. yuk.

I think if they brought the nose fairing down and swept it up going back plus put on an abbreviated belly pan like Monsters have. I never liked the look of the exposed exhaust under the motor. The fairing extension would soften the bulkiness of the stock piece I think. I could live with the MT in its current state eventhough I used to hate it. The bike has grown on me and I have not heard any complaints about what it can do. It is a very underrated bike only because many people don't like its looks. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, beauty is skin deep, bla bla bla. The bike is not ugly to the bone.
On another site a 1098 owner went on a road trip and reported it afterwards. I remember him saying two Multis in the group ripped them a new one on roads that were narrow and bumpy. I like that advantage, we have our fair share of bumpy roads here.
