Default FIM 59 ECU Maps

A question to Duane, Brad, Doug or some one els that might know about mapping. I am (still) thinking about some more updates to my Monster S4 2002. For the moment I only have SPS cams and ST4 exhaust system. The idee is one of following depending on what parts I find and the price on them.

955 (916+96mm bore) with bigger valves, porting and SPS cams
944 (916+900ss crank) bigger valves, porting and SPS cams
985 (916+96mm bore + 900ss crank) bigger valves, porting and SPS cams
996 (ST4s or S4R) with SPS cams
1026 (ST4s or S4R with 900ss crank) and SPS cams

I am running a DP "open exhaust" ECU + PC III USB for the moment.

The question is how will this modifications work with DP ECU. The fuel is no problems as I can handle that with the PC III. I am thinking about the ignition part. If I change the stroke and/or the bore can i use the same ignition map?
I was thinking about a FIM 59 ECU but for the moment it is no maps available that will fit.
Is a standard 916 and 996 running the same ignition maps or is it a big difference? Does 996 SPS have different ignition map to a 996 Bp?

the cheapest option would probably be a st4s/s4r engine. big bore kits get pricey, splitting the cases to recrank pricey also. sps cammed 996 is a pretty good thing. i'm about to 1026 a 996 for a 916 owner that i think is a waste of his money, but he wants it.

the 916 runs up to 39 degrees max adv, the 996 runs up to 43, as does the sps. maybe they ran more in the bigger engines due to them being restricted somewhat in std form and could run more. i usually like to run around 37 to 38 max on most of them when they've ben opened up and had cam timing, etc done. most often there's no more power as compared to 42 or so but it can smooth them out. the 851 has 51 degrees std at 10,000rpm - there's a couple of hp in pulling that back to 40ish. i've run most of them down to 34 or so - 748r to 29 - and only my 851 has ever lost power compared to the best setting. the low and mid areas of the maps are fairly similar really.

so i wouldn't be worried running a 916 spark map in a 996. i usually add quite a bit of advance to the low throttle areas as they can be made nicer there with more, but you need to be aware of the idle spark line too and the effect you get if it's markedly different to the map at the throttle position the idle line is 'turned off' so to speak.

Have done the S4 to ST4S/1026 swap for a customer. Just under 150 rwhp. Used an FIM U59. Bike is SICK. I would not have a license if I owned it.

That sounds like something that I need. Are you running 145 Hp at singel injector or do you run dual? I guess the 145-150Hp will be out of singelinjector range.
