Default top speed of 01 620

anybody know the top speed of a 01 620 monster? Iv'e got a co worker that seems to be streching the truth a little. I told him duc speedos are alittle optomistic and he still wants to tell me fibs. thanks

There is the legend of the 140 mph M620 on the DML, but 120-125 would probably be closer to tops with normal gearing.

Terminal velocity over a cliff is 130mph'ish but the landing will hurt you ? lol

Depends on your weight and how much of a tailwind.

an '01? I'd be suprised if you break tripple digits.

I had a '98 M750 and at 200 lbs I couldn't get it over an indicated 95mph with stock gearing, slip ons, jetting and airbox mod.

When I was racing mine at BIR with the CRA, we would routinely see 120 at the end of the front straight. We however would drop the rear sprocket a couple teeth.

I no doubt believe a 620 monster that has been well sorted with a good rider on a track could hit 120. He wants me to believe he's cruising around at 125 like it aint no big thing. It's just time to raise the bullsheet flag.
