I Had Bruce from BCM do my heads 2 years ago and he put stock 900SS cams in mine and they work just fine,,,,,along with a nice valve job, port work, not to wild it is a street bike,,!!!!!. 6 to 8 track days a year
depending on what size motor your monster is......the 98 ST2 cam is actually the most aggressive cam made by ducati for the 2valve motor, not sure if it fits into the smaller motor, but its a cheap upgrade for a 900. On top of that, make sure to degree the cam, i think you are looking for a centerline of 112. Have fun!
Give a little thought to what "type' of engine you want. If you have the long intake manifolds :"ala carby" you may be better off with the stock cams degreed and perhaps advanced a bit, (low-mid range torque). The St2 cams will work best with short intakes or the FI set-up, You will loose a bit on the lower end and gain it on the top. I am slowly building a 94' Monster with 944 kit, etc. and decided to go with the stock cams, long intakes and 41 flatslides, plan on shifting around 8K and gear accordingly. Just my 2 cents!

I wont more top end power since i have big big low end grunt right now!
im hoping to at least break the 90hp barrier.

Sounds like you have all of the "good stuff" except for the short manifolds. contact Chris Kelley at ca-cycleworks.com He was working on supplying the short manifolds I believe.
