Hello everyone,
I was wondering if all who own this bike could tell me how it does on the highway? My wife really likes the bike...it will be "sort of" a first bike for her. We prefer to do mostly highway riding, and she is worried that once we start doing highway speeds she will feel like there is no protection compared to a full faired motorcycle. How does the wind at speed play a part on the bike and how does it feel when semi's or big trucks pass by/windblast? Is the bike stable?
Thanks so much guys and gals,
Don

It is no worries. Monsters are great bikes. I bit more wind then a full fairing bike but as long as you are below 140km/h (I guess that is about 90mph) it is no worries. They are not much more sensitive then a full fairing bike for crosswinds or trucks.

I never had much problem with my 620. It does get windy...but then I didn't have the little bikini fairning that you can get with the bike. The bike has more +'s than it does negitives.

Thanks for your information. Anybody else want to comment on windblast/highway riding either on 695 or 620 would be much appreciated.

When I owned my S4 Monster there started to be alott of highway miles after my job moved. Wind wasn't as bad as the riding position after 40 + miles continious my back got tired.
Had thought about risers and a bigger shield
But opted for the more upright GT1000.

Default It is OK!

I have 695, s2r1k and s4rs. The 695 is a great bike. BUT is does have more wind than the s2r/s4r so the answer is... it has some wind. My wife rides both and it is obvious there is more wind on 695.

695 w fairing is a way to reduce wind. Bike is OK on interstate (gearing, rpm, etc) but I wouldn't call it a road bike however.
