Question saddle bags on a Monster

Anyone ever put (or seen) saddle bags on a Monster?

Either hard or soft? I would like something with a little theft protection if possible and would prefer them to not interfere with using the rear seat or seat cowl.

I was thinking of getting another bike to use as a commuter / sport-tourer since my current bike (04 Aprilia Mille) is a little too committed.

I had a M750 years ago, but I really want a carbureted 900. I would look for one with either stock pipes, or pies in the stock place as I want to keep the passenger pegs.

If anyone has pics or knows where to send me to find some, I would love to see them.

Eddie:

Keep an eye out for a M900 Monster "City". They came with Mandarina Duck saddlebags, small fairing and were made for commuting. As an alternative, you can find a set of bags and mount them to any Monster. I think 99 was the last year for carbs. THe bags use the passenger foot peg bracket for a lower mount, so mounting the bags preclude a passenger.

Ducati.com sells bags for the monster still, but not the Mandarina Duck case -

Default Ducati Performance

Ducati Performance offers both hard and soft luggae, as well as top bozes. Take a look at:

www.section8superbikes.com

Click on the parts/accessories pull-down menu, then go to Ducati Performance. Options for the various lines of bikes will appear. Click on Monster, then go to town. The luggae is toward the back of the catalog. It's a large file, but worth it.
