Default Zard exhaust for S4RS??

Anybody know when they are coming out??

Should I go Zard and PC III? (Cheaper, even with a good tune)

Or Termi kit with ECU?

I am picking up my S4RS tomorrow

if you get the termi i have a larger carbon exhaust cover for it as you will melt your boots otherwise

Jaymags -

Take a look at the Arrows system:

Arrows is generally recognized as making a high-quality system. Obviously you'd need a PCIII, but I think it is a viable alternative to Termi or Zard.

I just spoke to Steve a few minutes ago and he said they should be in in a couple of weeks. I suggest contacting him soon if you want one.

I'm hanging out for the single to a side, but the arrow I like the best so far. The Termi's are very long imo. This stock exhaust is getting boring

The Zard is a single high mount to each side. Like this:

Those are cool, they may not have as much hp as the termis but like I was saying over at Monster web site I could gain more hp if I lost 25lbs I just don't want the backfiring and popping and so hopefully there will be a pc3 soon

I took and cut down the termi mufflers by 3 inches, re timed the end caps, did a little elonggating on the brackets and chopped the tail and installed the new ecm and airbox then had it all set for the dealer to set it up all in 4 hours. It looks and run fantastic. It is so easy to shorten the mufflers.

I bought a Zard today. It should be in the week after next. I'm a little confused about one thing. Do I need a different ECU or will a PCIII work?

I guess you wont know until you fire it up and see if your stock ecu adjusts accordinly.

Info from Zard
We are expecting to air ship these out of Italy end of next week, as they leave for Summer holiday until September

Here in the US market we find that all bikes are too lean from the EPA stock, so although the bike will "run" with the pipes on, fuel adjustments are almost always needed to get the curves correct again

Here is some info I received from Arrow
Thank you for your interest in Arrow exhaust. The feedback I am getting from my Ducati dealers around the country is that our new system for the S4RS works very well right out of the box. As long as you hook up the stock 02 sensor the bike will dial itself in. Let me know if you have any further questions.

The extra few hp is not that important to me, if it was I would have kept my 05gixxer1k. I want it to run right look good and sound badass!!

I saw a black S4RS at VIR this weekend with the Termi kit on. It looked like the fit was horrible ($2300 = Should snap fingers and pipes line up). There was a 1 inch gap between the cans and crossover pipes. My 996 50mm Termi kit fits awesome, but I will not be putting a Termi on my S4RS

I will tell you that I was pretty disappointed with the weld quality of the Termi full system for my S4 I will try to clean them up on the inside as much as I can, but for that amount of $$, they could do better. A lot better. I think they're resting on their laurels, and have been for a while now. As a result, I think you'll see companies like Zard, Arrows, etc. start to steal some of Termi's busniess. The problem is that Ducati Performance has some incestuous relationship with Termignoni, and that will cause people to assume they're the best.

Is it true that putting an aftermarket exhaust other than a termi on your bike will void the warranty?

I keep reading about this issue but I have yet to see a definite yes or no from anyone.
