Is it true that putting an aftermarket exhaust other than a termi on your bike will void the warranty?
I keep reading about this issue but I have yet to see a definite yes or no from anyone.
Putting on a non-Termi exhaust will not void the warranty. That would violate the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. That would be a bad thing - for the dealer, for the distributor, and for the manufacturer.

I can't speak to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.; however I can speak to personal experiance. I have seen DNA tell a service manager to "put the bike back together and give it back" after the DNA rep found out it had a spareshack and pcm on it. There was a problem with the engine and they stopped right there.
I was also told by a dealer when I picked up my new s4rs with the termi race kit installed, that it was a good choice, because DNA would not honor engine warranty claims if an aftermarket exhaust other than Ducati/Termi and PCM were installed.
I ask the PCM guys what they thought of this and got no answer.
I ask DNA recently what their position was and got no answer.
I always said that when two people stand on the street corner and claim to be Jesus Christ, at least one of them is lying.
So, what the real answer? Personally, I'd go with several of the aftermarket suppliers when the bike is out of warranty, but until then I couldn't do it.
Has anyone seen or heard rumor of a full Leo Vince system yet?
I love LeoVinci's - great quality, I have a set on my S4; sadly, they didn't offer a full system for the S4. I would guess they will offer a system for the S2R's, probably slip-ons for the S4R/RS.
If they offer a full system, I predict you will love the quality.

Now they look great, check out the detail on the end cones, Zard are stepping to the next level of cool when it come to pipes, far better than everything we have bee dished to date
BBR in Oregon or Washington been doing those end cones for dirt bikes for years. I have them on my CRF230F. If you can afford the Termi, go for it, otherwise Arrow is also a wonderfull exhaust system for Monster.
There apparently was a mix up on the Zard. The one for the Rs is not in production yet. Word is they are working on it but there is no definitive ship date yet.
I said the heck with Zard, not a big fan of "shotgun" style exhausts, slow manufacturing, or two on one side exhausts(Termi, Arrow). Check out the system by Remus. It sounds awesome too
I was contacted by the US distributor in the bay area in August about placing an order, he said 2 weeks back then I decided to hold off. I am going to wait until a PCIII comes out for the S4RS , the other choice is buy a DP ecu ($1k) and your choice of exhaust but then there is no guarantee how well it will run?
"Exercise restraint and discipline, only responding to posts from legit customers and those with constructive positive intent, you will find that the handgrenades explode harmlessly. You have many satisfied customers who are happy to have the parts you've made. My suggestion to you is keep making good parts, keep getting more customers, take care of them and let them speak for you."
Personally I like the Moto Corse exhaust. It is full titanium and weighs less than half of the stock exhaust system. There is a link below. For those of you saying it is a Japanese company, they have a factory in Italy as well as Japan. The list I have been e-mailed from Davide in Italy confirms that the Italian factory makes the titanium exhausts for the MV Agustas and Ducatis. They also make items like the titanium oil cooler and radiator protectors, the radial mount fork lowers, fuel caps etc.. meaning they basically handle the European side of the items available and they are available through the Japanese distributor as well as several USA dealers.
[QUOTE=Ubermoto]Jetted in for your new Ferrari, eh?
Ha-Ha! I wish...if you call seat 47F on a 777 with your knees jammed into the seat in front of you for 7 1/2 hours "jetting", I would rather have flown over with Charles Lindbergh. The Airbus on the return flight made up for it though.
I'll post some pic's from the Ferrari Museum when I get a chance.
Sorry for being a bit slow on the board, Zard has released a complete Triumph line and I have been designated the "lead" on getting the information out on these.
The S4RS systems are on the shelf, ready to go. There are the carbon sleeved and titanium sleeved versions, choose as you wish.
If there are any questions I can assist you with, please let me know.
