Termigioni 45/50 full system

I just received me full terrmi 45/50 for my S4 monster. The outside looks nice but the inside does not look so good.

Is it a reason for this poor quality / limited size of the connection in the spit in the headers were it goes to the silencers? I was thinking to open it up but maybe it is like this to produce a certain back pressure.

Does some one know. Will it **** it up if I take it up to the same size as the pipe diameter or will I gain something?
