Default S2R shock swap

Does a 748-998 superbike shock bolt directly into an S2R?

I'd like to sh*t can the stock unit in favor of a used, adjusable Ohlins.

no, the piggyback reservoir fouls on the oil catch tank off the breather. not sure if thats the only limitation but thats where i stopped looking into it.

Yep. It's a little crowded in there.

I put an Ohlins from a 9*6,748 on a M620. The breather catch tank is removed though. Not sure if the 620 uses same as S2R.

I'm considering picking up an s2R for track days maybe the odd race, and i was hoping to transplant 748 forks and rear shock onto the s2r (maybe even 748 race skins).

So, I'm wondering how this swap turned out for you.

Why would you like to swap forks? Doesnt 748 and S2r have the same 43mm Showa fork. Just different color and internal?

I would suggest to upgrade the forks that you have instead. The 748 forks will need to be revalved to work anyway.

Jocke...........

I used the stock set of adjustable showas from my 749 as an upgrade on my S2R (which came stock with non-adjustable Showa or Marzochis ?). Much better now!
