Default Lowering a 2004 620?

Anybody know how to lower the 620 a little more? It is my wife's bike, and she is short, mad short. I did a search and found nothing. Thanks in advance....Jay

Lower the fork tubes in the clamps, and get an adj link for the rear and lower it the same amount. That will drop the bike an equal amount. Also, (if needed) shave a bit of the foam from the seat (top and sides)

My wifes 5'1 (almost) and we also installed Gen Mar bar risers and went with a set of DP alum bars which raised the bars and reduced the reach. we also installed a set of adj rearsets which helped out too. After all was said and done, she actually went back to her original seat, because it was a little too low, and a little uncomfortable.

Hope this helps a little

You can also send the stock seat to Sargent seats in Florida. They did the seat on my girlfriend's bike. They cut down the foam, replaced the stock foam with denser more supportive foam and recovered the seat. As I recall it was around $180 and it made a big difference.

Ducati Seattle sells a lowering link for around $120 that will lower the bike 1-1/4". I installed that for my brother's S2R and we lowered the fork tubes about 1cm. It woked out great for him but we had to have the kickstand shortened cause the bike sat almost vertical afterwards.
He's about 5'1" with a girlish figure it that helps.

get the tie-rod off one of the 748/916/996/998 superbikes. they're shorter than the monster units by about 1" AND adjustable which is nice. you should be able to find a used one for $50-75.
for the front end, lower the tripleclamps on the fork tubes the equal amount as however much you lower the rear by to keep things equal for the steering geometry.
to not lower via suspension TOO much (thus sacrificing cornerring clearance), another suggestion (especially if your wife doesn't weigh all that much) would be to take the stock seat to a furniture shop that does reapholsterring. have them pull the vinyl cover off, dish out some of the foam and reinstall the vinyl. you can get 1-2" lower seat height this way for pretty short money.
