Default Harley for dinner

i know we've discussed this before but it's so much fun i have to tell you about it.
as i've stated on this forum before the Hotrod M944 and i will throw down with anyone regardless of cc's or configuration. i don't have delusions of dropping 'Busa's but i'll race one if the chance is presented just to see how long we can hang.
today i was entering the hiway for the last leg of my ride. as i'm coming up the ramp a guy on HD xlssportbob, kind of a chopper looking thing but not too long, see's me and "get's on it". lots more noise but not lot's more forward thrust. well he threw down the gauntlet and i was not going to dissapoint him. we were in 4th gear and at about 6K on the tach. this is the phat part of the powerband. i pulled along side and rolled it on. baaaaaaaa(clutchlessupshift!)aaaaaahhhhh! i was looking over my shoulder watching him get smaller and smaller. he was smiling though. so i roll off he catches up and we do it again. same result. great fun. i waved as i hopped off the next exit and so did he.

I still wonder ever time you post about your bike why you always have to say "Hotrod 944"? Ok you got a 944 kit I get it.

"Ok you got a 944 kit I get it."
maybe you don't get it. it's more than the 944 kit that make it the Hotrod M944. it's the big carbs, the open airbox, the ported/polished heads, light flywheel, the roar of the intake and the exhaust, etc, etc.
it is a Hotrod. now maybe you'll understand.
(or maybe you've been bitch slapped too many times.)

LOL. Ok. So since I have a S4R with SPS cams, PC3, flywheel, light clutch, open airbox, and full exhaust I guess I qualify.

From now on I will post about my Hotrod S4R. or should I call it the Hotrod 996?

edit: figured it out. from henceforth it's "The Hotrod MS4R 996."

Ok hotrod club. I've only got a stripped down 96 900 with 11:1, FCRs, Ohlins Fr & R. I can hardly keep the front end on the ground or find anyplace but the freeway to open it up for a few seconds. I have no desire for any more power. What do you guys do with those flying machines. I can blow off Harleys too. :WTF

trackdays. nothing like bellowing up the front straight at Road America going 140mph and hearing that bike roar. oh, and there is an occasional buell to dust out there too.

Oh I'm here. I finally got her up to 140. BTW. Bruce from BCM got inducted into the Ducati hall of fame today in Chicago. Susie also told me through him that the stroker crank isn't a good idea. Phil

Hey I have a BCM-built Hot Rod ST4 with 120 rwHP... open intake, open exhaust. It roars... but it doesn't have the look of a Hot Rod. The HotRod ST4 916 with saddlebags! No one I run into suspects that they're next to a HotRod. So I guess it's a sleeper, not a HotRod.

After reading what some of you have done to your engines... mine is not a HotRod, it's just a LeanedOnRod, or a ModRod. Yea, a ModRod.
