Default S4R Handling

How does the S4R handle in comparison to a Monster 750/800/900 or so? I have ridden a 620, 750 and 800 and thought they were nice, but had to really be muscled in the fast corners at speed. Of course these were on stock settings and I would imagine that dropping the forks in the trees will assist turn in.

I really would love an S4R that handled well, something to suite that classy muscle.

Default Re: S4R Handling (Beyote)

Heya Beyote

I can't speak for an S4R however I had an S4 and rode 750's and 900's and also Doon's old 800 hundie.

The S4 definatelty feels more planted to the frontm be fair to say the steering feels heavier with it but I like that feel.

The S4 undoubtedly will have more weight over the front and I believe this is good, Doons bike felt a little bit wobbly beside the S4 but again I beleive that would be weight related.

The S4 wheelied a lot easier (so am am told cos that is illegal ) because of the fat torque curve off the bottom, I would think the S4R would be even better at being illegal

the S4R is definitely a hoons bike! they handle fine, although with mine i wound up the rear rebound damping and dropped the forks thru 8mm to stop it running wide on corner exit.the front end can be a bit flighty so i'm fitting a damper but that's just for insurance really.
