Default Brake Switch Problem

Ok what are the brake switches made out of on the Monster, paper? I installed my new Cyclecats rearsets on my 620 this weekend but damaged my brake light switch for the rear. I guess I smooshed it or something trying to get it off the stock rearset, but now not only does the pin not come out, but I have no rear lights at all.

My first question is can damaging that switch hose up the rear running light as well as brake light?

And second anyone know where can I get a new one?

Thanks for any respones and feel free to light me up if you have to

I've never had my switch off, so no idea on durability.

It should have no effect on the running light, either your bulb has died or the fuse blew due to the f'd switch or maybe a pinched wire.

That switch prolly only available at a dealer, Ducati Seattle or Section8 are good places to start if your local dealer comes up short.

The OE switches are fragile. Most people run a hydraulic switch like the link shows. http://www.sudco.com/catalog105/271.pdf

I can't remember where I bought mine.....maybe http://www.spareshack.com/cgi-...4bil9

Damaging the switch should have no effect on the running light.
