Default adjusting the chain on a S4R?

I'm sure this may seem like a stupid question to some people, but since the bike is new to us and the owners manual only says to take the bike to an authorized duc dealer to adjust the chain...

how do you do it? lol

You might want to invest in LT's 3rd Edition Desmoquattro manual... http://www.desmotimes.com/. Only $29 with tons of great info.

01Sport, you have an eccentric rear hub, there is two pinch bolts on the top which you have to undo, you have a funny looking half moon looking spanner in your tool kit to adjust the chain by rotating the eccentric, you will see it quick as which way you have to go, make sure you check on the LHS side of the bike the freeboard movement in your chain.

Remember to retighten the pinch bolts to hold your eccentric in place or it will rotate and losen your chain, this also has to be torqued up properly.

Hope this help, whistle up if you need more help.
