Default Strati, Help. Pipe mod question?

Looking around here and DML and your site for info regarding making a set of stock cans high mount. Any info? Links? Advice? Pitty?

Thanks

sorry greg but it's a real pain to reroute stock cans as high-mounts.
i'd need to have your bike on hand to be able to accurately make the s-bends required to route them high without conflicting other parts of the bike like rearsets and swingarm. also... the stock cans have such long inlet tubing that the bodies would need to be shortenned A LOT or else stick pretty far out the back of the bike.
that all said... i'm currently looking into picking up a used m900 for my next project. IF this happens, i'll at least have a pretty stock bike on hand to fab locally. i once made a set of high-mounts using a set of gianelli s-bends and 748 cans. i think i'd rather make my own s-bends if i were to do this again. if i do this, i'd figure on making a batch of 4 or 5 pairs of cans to offer.

i'll update the board if/when the m900 purchase happens!

Thanks for the info. I figured it wasn't going to be easy but. . .

Guess I'll drop the big $$$ on a set of high mount cans.

do yourself a favor and check through the classifieds here and on the monster board. might find a decent set of highmounts used for a reasonable cost. remember that they're interchangable across many models.
