Is there any that are better than others or are they all much they same?

You boys were having soo much fun on that thread, I thought I'd stay out of it. I run Denso's in the cage and also the wife's supersport - I have been a Denso fan; however, my s4 fouled the IXU27 in about 15 minutes (I have no idea why both plugs looked extremely rich upon removal). I took them back out and replaced with NGK's that I've been running ever since - no sneezes, farts, or burps. The NGK's have read fine twice since install. I'm not trying to sway an opinion......just sharing.

Interestingly enough mine runs like a clock and never misses a beat, I just want the best that I can get for it.

Monstaman ... then why not stick with the same type/brand of plug as what you took out?

Just making life tough on yourself

Well, firstly I can't get the champions so that ends that, my only option as it turns out in NZ is NGK, the next option is import plugs from the US......all I wonna do is change the bloody sparkplugs!

T h e n you can get gold plugs, copper core, protruding tip, resisted, non resisted green ones pink ones......... bla bla bla

So are you telling me you cannot buy Champion plugs in NZ anymore? OR this particular special plug type.

Personally I'd ring up the Champion agent/seller and ask THEM to import a couple of sets ...

Good luck
Pete

Monstaman, unless NGK makes something different for AU, or they have changed something, the dcpr9evx will not work in our bikes. Re-read my post on the Monster board....

I've been getting my Denso Iridium's from Clubplug in Canada. Chris Kelly, after some bagering from me, does stock the Denso Iridium IXU27 now, although it looks like he charges 25% more (wtf?).

I've always charged $15/plug for the Denso iridiums... the price I sell them at is based on the "jobber" rate that I purchase them. I can double check my cost on them, but am reasonably sure that the 25% is my mark up on those. The should go to businesses that buy at distributor price and then sell products to the public at wholesale and screw over proper dealers like me...

No wonder none of the IXU27s have sold. Maybe I can get my vendor to take them back without a stocking fee... and then I can not inventory something that'll never sell.

Chris

Chris,

But I did try to buy them from you. The first time I tried to buy them from you, you did not stock them. The second time I tried to buy them from you, you did not reply to my email for two weeks. Your late email is how I found out that you had decided to stock them. Sorry, but by the time I received your email, the plugs I received from Canada had many miles on them...

"late e-mail" = took a while for my vendor and I to get it on my shelf. Since there was no indication that I was in competition with someone from Canada, I put the IXU27s on the want list to buy with my next subsequent order from that vendor. And your e-mail was printed and put in my inbox for follow up.

Sounds like I failed to understand your expectations.

Regards,
Chris
