Default S4 exhaust system?

Have some one tried out what the difference is between a ST4 system, Ducati performance S4 45/50 full system and sil moto s4 full system. What would you guys recomend for my 984 testarosso?

For the moment I have a ST-4 45mm system with sil moto slipons but I might need something better.

Next question is what rev limit should I use? I will be running 68mm crank, carrillo rods, "schnyder corse" 955 cylinders with "schnyder corse" omega race pistons and MBP testarosso 37/31 heads.

With the MBP heads on my bike, the bike is still pulling to the 10k redline. The question you need to ask yourself is whether you ride at that level often and how much maintenance /risk do you want to take. With the heads you should be good for more RPM but how much I'm not sure. What cams are you going to run?

Look at this page for a comparable 984. They also have some different exhaust systems with the same motor on there. http://www.visi.com/~moperfserv/984jh.htm

I have 996 sps cams. I saw Dougs page. Interesting with the different headers. His page is actually how the 984 idee started. For the moment I have a DP ecu for open airbox and slipons with a PCIII usb but I was thinking to get a FIM ECU 59 later and made a proper map including a proper ignition map and individual cylinder mapping.

I just came in contact with Switzerlands leading Ducati tuner/race Schnyder Course and they will most probably make a full map for me.

I went to there place yesterday and I was very impressed so they will be involved in my project. They are also very experienced in FIM tuning since many years.

I asked him how much he wanted for a proper crank balancing and he just replied that it is up to me to decide. He said that he can spend a half day on it if I want or he can do it like we does it on his race Ducatis but then it might take a few days. It is up to me how good I want it he said.

It is nice to finally have find a very proffesionell tuner next door.

What exhaust are you running on your s4? DP terniss?

Do you have MBP heads? What cams? Did you make any dynoruns? Do you have any Curves from the runs? Any before / after runs?

www.motocorse.net These are without a doubt the nicest built exhausts made. Other than Sil Moto and Termignoni, finding a full system for a S4 is going to be hard. Good luck!!!

I'm running just the stock S4 cams right now but have big plans next winter to put in 506 cams and the 996 big bore kit. Running the Foggy Termi pipes (45/50). I have some dyno curves but no before and after. The shop that did the work was suppose to do that for me but didn't. Here is one before the PCIII was installed. http://www.ducatimonster.org/cgi-bin...JPG&img=12&tt=
