Anyone have any comments on Rizoma's rearsets or Cyclecats? I'm planning on installing either of the above on my Foggy. Both are about the same price, however, haven't read much about the Rizoma's. Which one is lighter? adjustability? Do I have to have to relocate the rear brake for both? Thanks in advance.
Thanks ducmonster750s. Thought I did a thorough search on the board, but this helps alot. Looks like I may pick up the cc's. Doesn't seem like there's any info on Rizoma here. I'll go with the tried and true..
Thx Foggy123. Not sure if it's laziness tonight or what, but I should've checked that Foggy link before posting. Your cc's look great. Wasn't aware that brake relocation parts was included. That just sold me! Guess that'll be my x-mas present to myself....Thanks again
I have the rizomas.
Super adjustability, great finish, real nice pieces. Trouble is ... you can't stop there!
Install was a snap, you will need a differeant bolt for the kick stand bracket but that's no biggie!
Hey Jamie, if you got time, could you post a close up of those Rizomas on your bike? I ended up ordering up a set yesterday w/pass footpegs, but haven't seen any up close and personal. Thx
They only come in black from Motowheels's web page; maybe they can offer something else if you wanted. EDIT: I see they now come in silver or gold as well.
Thx Spezjag. I just got the Rizoma's in the mail. The Satos are sweeet. I've got their clip-ons and quality/feel is great. Once I get the rear's on, I'll post some pics. Thx again
Not to sound overly ignorant but what functionality do the rear sets offer? I've seen some really cool looking ones on the Rizoma site but they are so expensive. What peformance upgrade do they offer and how drastic do they change the riding position?
My Vote is for Cycle Cat. You can beat the adjustability, and i think the whole "peg board" looking adjustability is crap. Not to knock the rizoma's, they are hot, no doubt. But CycleCat makes extremely adjustable rearsets that looks sweeet with out the peg board.
Just set-up the Rizomas for a GP shift pattern.
I'm not sure how I feel about it but tomorrow will be my first ride w/this pattern, I'll let y'all know how it went.
Jamie, can't wait to hear how the set up wrks for you. I'm gonna tackle the rear sets on Monday. Been putting it off for too long and I'm sick of seeing them in a box on not on the bike Have a great ride. I'll post pics once I get mine on..
I had to put the rear screw on from the back side and run the shift rod behind the body of the rear-set to get it to work.
But the shifts are much more positive w/the 1-up, 5-down pattern. It's hard to find nuetral though and you have to think about it when you leave a light otherwise you pop it into second.
I like it though ... had a good ride, drag raced some dufass in a cobra and smoked him!
The adjustability is unparalleled and the eye candy factor is extremely high! The pictures online do not do them justice. When I saw a set in person, I was seriously blown away. That bevel is too cool!
Also, be sure that you get the non-folding knurled pegs.
