Default Winterization - Oil Question

I am going to winterize my bike. I have a '02 Monster 750. For the oil change, can I just put regular dino 10/40 wt oil in it? Will this effect anything, wet clutch or internals?
Thanks in advance.

If it's motorbike oil, i think there can't be any problem.

I don't think that oil is too much of a problem. Just remember to add stabil to the gas and either remove your battery or hook it up to a battery tender. Make sure the tires are off the cold concrete and maybe put a cover over the bike. Some people put plastic over their pipes just to keep mice from living in there.

I haven't done much to the bike except to add stabil to the gas. It's been running well after the past 3 winters. It might be time for me to buy a new battery soon (We started to have problem starting it....)

warm the bike up to about normal operating temp. drain the old oil. add whatever weight, cheapo motor oil to the hi fill line. i do not change the filter at this point since it's just sitting there and no oil will be circulating thru it. (some will argue this point). you're done. the only down side is if you get a nice day in early spring you can't hop on and go for a ride without changing the oil 1st. my . your results may vary, no warranty expressed or implied, etc, etc.
