Default PC3 part number - 2002 M900ie

Ok, I've done a search here, but didn't hit the mark, so I'm wondering if someone here (and I posted this on the DML - Tech section) has a PC3 Part number for a 2002- M900ie. I'ver read the 2002 M900ie comments on PC3, lack of product, that PC didn't make one for that year, blah blah blah. Someone out there HAS to have a PC3 on their 2002 M900ie. That's all I want, is the part number. Both Strati and Speeddog on the DML have said that the injector and TPS part numbers are the same for the '02 900 and the '03 1000, and that the PC3 for the 1000 will work on the 02 900.

Has anyone ordered up a PC3 for their 2002 900ie and had it work?? If so, can I pretty please have the part number for the PC3???

Did I make it clear that I'm asking for the part number of the PC3 that will work with a 2002 900ie??

I've been messing around with a Techlusion and I'm just not happy with it and am throwing in the towel on that thing.

Thanks people.

Why would it not be the same as the 2001 model, what would have changed.
I dont think they would have redesigned anything for the last year of manufacture.
As long as the injectors are the same whats the difference?

Frame changed for 900s to ST4 based frame but not sure if that would affect the PCIII.

This is what I got back from a PM from Speeddog on the DML....

tonupyank,

Well, I don't know that it's right as if I had put one on an '02 M900ie.

That said;
The TPS and injector part #'s are the same.
The ECU is the same unit, but with different mapping.
The PCIII connects in between the ECU and the TPS and the injectors.
I see absolutely no way that the PCIII could tell the difference between the '03 M1000 and '02 M900.

I can't guarantee that it will work, but I'm_very_very_confident that it will.

Nick

How Nick knows that the TPS and injector part #'s are the same is that he checked the parts list on ducati.com for both the 02 and 03, not sure about the 01. Something I should probably do.........

The one I have which is supposed to be for a 2001 - 2002 M900 is the 703-411, I have this only my MH.

Mine is the PC111 USB.

ok, after spending about 5ive hours total last night searching through all the DML, Speedzilla, clubdesmo sites, PMing guys with 2002 M900ie that 'might' have installed a PC3, asking for part number for that PC3, I think I have figured it out.

One guy states that the TPS and injection part number is the same for the 02 900 and the 03 1000. I downloaded the pdf of the parts catalogue for 01 and 02 m900 and the 03 m1000. all the part numbers are the same across the board. i printed the sheets out as well. i called PC and 'Kyle' says, well, if those parts are the same, then the unit should plug in. then you get a custom map done.

So, it seems that I need a 717-411 powercommander.

So I finally ordered this PC3 from Kyle Racing, had it installed and dyno'ed at Skagit Powersports and what a hugh jass difference from the DoBeck TFI. I seems I was running ultralean to lean and the dyno chart looked like a crack addicts EKG after a bender.........

The bike went from 63 rwhp to 72rwhp. fun stuff. Should have done this a long long time ago.
