The picture is not very good, I'm waiting for a better one, have you seen this before?

This one is taken from their Web site, I like those ones more than the termi clip-ons... and the cost is nearly half of the price.

I actually like both Zard systems - the full system is a throw-back to the system on Smart's bike at Imola in '72.

I have to agree on the slip-ons -vs- the full system. I like the slip-ons shown here. They should make a full system retaining this style using a 50-52mm free flow header. Id have to see the crazy flat tracker/Mad Max exhaust in person, the pictures Ive seen do not agree with me. Some one should contact Bob Smith at www.motopiont.com he is an importer for www.motocorse.net Im sure they will be making a system soon. They have by far the nicest exhaust systems Ive seen/used.

These are nice. Better than the straight slipons from Zard that I've seen. Where do I get them? I've tried googling for a zard website but can't find it.

I actually don't mind the look of the original pipes, I just want a better sound. Does anyone know how to "fix" the OEM pipes? Failing that, these Zards (minus the stickers) look like just the right pipe for me.

The stickers can be removed, I have seen a Zard exhaust for a 749 and the stickers are the same, easy to remove.

I also like the look of the original ones, but not the sound, I'll let you know price when I got it, my dealer is waiting for a response to see if they have DB Killer or are only street legal.

The other model is nice and exclusive, but I don't like so much the pipes over the engine and the look of the rear part. Will be nice to see one live...

You can take a look at their page at:

Default Not Ready Yet

I sent Zard USA an email and the reply was this....Currently there are only plans for the full system, and slip-ons are only a discussion after the release of this product......we will have to wait a little longer

Thanks Izzug and JoseLuiz. The Zard website is not much help, is it! Couldn't find anything more than the pictures, and since it's all in Italian... Anyway, I'll stay posted and appreciate any info you dig up.

Thanks!

I usually post in a Spanish Ducati Forum, take a look at this thread:

http://www.ducatistas.com/modules.ph...wtopic&t=17257

Altough it's in spanish, there are people from Italy and some other countries, we have started a discussion in which is the best system (there are several Paul Smart in my group too), but we have decided to wait for SIL, Akrapovic and Arrow, that are the ones we know are working in new exhausts for the SportClassic models.

I use to have Termi in my old monster, so I can't wait to replace them, but I don't want to put the first thing I see and have a nicer model in the following months.

Will see what cames in the future...

I love that one, I'm waiting for prices on this...

I think hanging all their hopes on the full system is a big mistake for Zard.

Wow, that looks amazing!

And conversely I got to say I don't like the look of the Zard at all. So messy, no clean lines whatsoever.

Yeah, that yellow Sport looks terrific! I've been thinking of putting a PS-type fairing on my black Sport, but I don't think it would have the same effect as it does on the yellow one...

IMO, I think the fairing would look even better in black on a black bike.

If I'm not mistaken, the yellow Sport1000 pictured is equipped with the "Racing Kit" which probably means the front headlight has been removed.

Hi,

I contacted Romanelli a few weeks ago, it's an Italian company that has been producing this fairing for the SportClassics, here is the response I got from them:

Hello Luis,
these are the prices:
fairing: 150,00 Euro (not painted)
low part: 100,00 Euro
rear firing: 90,00 Euro
front chassis: 150,00 Euro
front+rear support (to connect fairing to chassis): 80,00 Euro

Best Regards
Federico Serpericci
Romanelli Design

The low part is not appearing in that picture but you can see it in the Sport 1000 one.

I got a picture of the PS with their parts installed on it:

I have to say that I like more the black chassis color than the green for the yellow fairing, I have requested information regarding the lights as you see there are no turn signals. I'm seriously considering installing it, when you go fast the air is too much.

Still waiting for the Zard, I got responses from Akrapovic, Sil Motor and some others telling me that thay are NOT planning to produce any systems for the SportClassics.

The termis... well, it depends, but the titanium one says nothing in that bike, I see it hangs from the bike more than being integrated with it (it's a personal feeling I like it but I like more the Zard ).

The Zard look... you can hate it or you can love it... but I think is the closer to the original look of the bike.

Maybe interesting for more people...

Front and rear support are a kind of rings that are necessary to fix the chassis.
There is no problem to fix the fairing on Sport 1000 model. The fairing is studied for the bikes that will partecipate to the Italian Ducati Sportclassic Challenge (Paul Smart LE and Sport 1000 are the bikes admitted to partecipate).
The fairing don't have hole for light group (it's a racing-type fairing), but if you want we can make it (like in Paul Smart LE) to mount the light.

Best Regards

Not the same effect, true, but black with a gold-color stripe as seen on the 1979 900SS .......
