Fuel Line Disconnects?

I want to do some wrenching around on the MH this week. I can't find it now, but I'm sure I read somewhere that almost everyone breaks the fuel line disconnects when they remove the gas tank. Did you guys find this true? If so, what was your remedy? I'd like to purchase the parts ahead of time, if need be.

No, they are not that bad, just make sure you push the little tabs in properly and pull the disconnects off SQUARE and be GENTLE.

If they feel like they won't come out you have not released the little tabs in far enough.

There is not alot of room as you know, one thing that my be useful is the small orings, they are the same as a 916,996 so don't be fooled into beleiving the MH has exotic ones.

I have never broken one yet however the oring did chaff hence I replaced them, make sure when you refit them that you lube them well or they will bind and chaff and accordngly wont seal.

Omega makes metal disconnects that I'll be getting when the MH hits the road again
