Default 748

She looks great. I love the black rims on the classic red bikes. The rims are stock aluminum 5 spokes, though usually stock frame silver in color. I don't know if they were stock on the 01 748 but they definitely came on the 996. They are a good upgrade from the earlier steel 3 three spokes. Best wishes Brad.

I may be mistaken, but, I believe the 5 spoke are the 748S wheels for the 2001....at least mine are. I think the base 748 had the 3 spoke as stock.

All bikes are black.....any other colors are just mistakes by the paint shop.

Im pretty sure this bike had those gaudy 3 spoke wheels. previouse owner switched them out. I would like to do make over on the bike but it has high mileage.

Putting a 999 motor in it will require some frame adjustment as the throttle bodies will not clear the stock 748 cross member. The 748r frame can be used with less effort. Brad.
