Default Mid-Week Ride Pics

I decided to play hooky on Wednesday and beat the holiday crowds to some twisties. What a great ride it was. It made me want to have a tank video camera as the pics don't do it justice. Four hours of nothing but twisties, 75 degrees at 6k feet, no traffic, and a great view of a TON of snow run off. Right in our back yard, we went up to Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Forests. Good Times......good times.

Be careful out there guys. LOTS of critters are out. This friendly rattle snake smiled at me when I almost hit him coming around a turn. He made me realize I need a better zoom on the camera.

Thankfully this guy wasn't on the road.

Ride safe everyone. It's a great time of year for the hills.

Here in Australia we have some exciting rides, but these pics take the cake.
I have got to take a holiday in your great country.
Do you think my ride will suit your terrain>

LOVE YOUR ROADS

Cool man. If you ever want to hook up for a ride just shoot me an IM. We were going to do Yosemite, but I heard most of the rivers are flooding from runoff. You ever go up to Humphreys station then cut off and go up Old Tollhouse, then back down the Four Lane? It's a great "after work" little trip. Lots of twisties and only about an hour round trip ride. Just watch the Four Lane for CHP.

Hell yes!! There are more mountain biking trails around here than your legs can handle. Guaranteed!!! If you ever come for Holiday, let me know. Maybe you can hop into Monstamans bags when he comes over.
The only place that rents bikes around here are Hardleys. No sportbike rentals.

I left out of Fresno and just took Kings Canyon straight out towards Reedley.

I am not sure if that road is open or not. I would imagine it would be. I remember seeing the turn off at Kings Canyon for it and didn't notice any closed signs. I know Badger Pass is still closed, but it is higher in elevation. Call the visitors info number @ 1-559-565-3341. They should be able to tell you or point you in the right direction.

It is a perfect time of year up there. You will not be dissappointed. The river is flowing big time and the waterfalls are plentyful. If you are going to take 180 until it ends (past Boyden Caverns), just make sure you fill up before you enter the park, as there is only one gas station inside the park (At the Lodge) and they charge a left nut for 1 gallon.
