Default Vintage "British and European" Bike Show in Maryland last weekend

Many cool bikes; Nortons, old MZs, BSAs, an old MV, many BMWs, lots of Trumpets, etc. But more than a few special ducks, only a few of which I had enough memory in my digital camera (shoulda bought a card!) to take pics of. Most were ridden there; pretty cool...

Man, those old bevel singles make me want to do irrational things with my money...Those guys standing behind that last bike are looking at a cucciolo...a bicycle powered by the "little pup" engine. Was gonna take a pic of it, but "memory full"...

Where was it at in MD? I'm upset that I missed it!

Elkridge, at some farm/field thing. I'll get the details posted; it's there every year, and there were hundreds of gorgeous bikes. And as I mentioned, not a lot of trailers...very cool.

That's it, Germantown...man I suck at geography! Thanks for the correction, and the name of the place. I'll be going back next year, for sure...

I live in Damascus, about a mile and a half from Butler's Orchard, but the last British & European Bike Show that I made it to was in 1998, when it was 'British Bike Day' --- it seems that every year, something is going on that prevents me from making it to the show. This year, it was a family wedding in Nags Head. So, was it a pretty good turnout this year?

Yeah, this biggest I've seen in the 3 years I've been going. I went via the George Washington Parkway to the Beltway to 270; I picked up several groups of people on current and vintage Ducatis, Bimmers, Trumpets, etc. It was cool because it felt as if everyone just happened to be out for a ride, but instead of the the usual Gixxers and CBRs, it was all this fine and relatively rare machinery coming out of the shadows and into the sun...

At the event, as they have in the past, they do a "rev"ilie where German, British, Italian, et al bike owners rev their engines in turn. Man, being with all the Ducatis during the Italian's turn and hearing those bevels revving thru Contis was music to my ears..I was right next to a '74 750 Sport and I swear it gave me chills!
