Default A few mods to my bike and first ride...

Well, I finally put my bike back together after a few modifications over the winter...

Starting point:

5 Spoke Marchesini powder coated + clear coated:

Bike ready for assembly (SPS tail and CF hugger fitted allready):

Wheels fitted:

Carbon airbox side covers from Casoli and new fairing with Ducati Performance decals:

First ride + one happy dude:

My CF front fender and exhaust cover have not arrived yet, but they will show up any day now. Also I will be adding an open clutch cover so the red anodized Ducati Performance pressure plate is showing.

Really nice!!! Add some CF air ducts to your list too. If your list is anything like mine...it's neverending.

I've got some OEM 996 "snowflake" rotors if you want them. 20K miles. original pads used on these rotors still have life left in them. PM me with an offer. I can measure the thickness if you want.

Thanks a lot you guys. Comming from you it means a lot
Seriously, I know that it is in the rookie end of modifications, but I'm quite pleased with the result. I too think the bike looks like a million $ now. Actually, I would like to add a small thing: Yesterday I really noticed a big difference i acceleration. Before, with the old wheels, the front almost never came up in 1st gear, but now I need to be carefull - I like that

996 engine will follow.... next winter I presume. My 'old' engine has some 25k miles on it, and last year the stator (light machine) 'fell' of the crankcase, so the local Duc shop had to do some magic to keep it in place. It will not last more than this season. A shame though, because it deliveres 103bhp on the rearwheel
Anyway, you are right. It is kind'a goofy pretending to have a 996, when in reality it is a 916
I swapped the middle fairing pieces because I love the "Ducati Performance" decals on the side. Once I put in the new engine I will not forget to post some pictures, and most likely I will also be asking a few questions during
