Default Five Weekend Vids For Your Viewing Pleasure

Had the Duc out over President Day's Weekend. Rode the mountains and canyons of Colorado. Won't go into great detail here, but let the videos tell the tale. Perhaps something nice to view with cold weather, snow, or rain hanging around. Enjoy the different tunes, lean forward and come along, try to minimize leaning the head as you watch .

Following two riders up Bear Creek Canyon west of Morrison...

Back and forth through the great and lonely sweepers of Jefferson County 126...

One of the riders suggested recording a flyby. Great idea. Never done that before. Though not Ducs, enjoy the howl of the screaming I-4's as they pass by twice. Ignore the person shooting a gun in the nearby woods .

A new parkway was built by Central City to take traffic from I-70 directly to their town, bypassing neighboring and competing Blackhawk. Never been on it. Eight miles of two wheeled bliss... sweepers, 90-180 degree curves, perfectly cambered grades, four lanes (rarely blocked by traffic). The entire parkway from beginning to end, starting from I-70, following a friend...

Same Parkway, this time I lead and we return to I-70. At around the 2:00 minute mark there is a honking truck not interested in being passed... crossing lanes, hitting gravel in the corner, etc. .

i've only watched the 1st 2 but holy crap dude! those roads rule. we have nothing like that in N/E WI. we ride for miles between farm fields to hit 3-4 curves. very cool. can't wait to watch the others. try to get the tach in some next time. it'd be cool to see it rise/fall.

Steve, great vids as usual. However, it reminded me of several of my own episodes in Colorado of "cages" that hate being passed by "us".

What is that.

Great stuff Steve! Thanks for taking the time putting your vids together every so often. It's great to see the sights and the roads that you have out your front door.

OT: What was the suburban guy's problem? Maybe a cruiser rider who didn't like "that there new-fangled crotch rocket"?

Thanks. You know, I can only guess about the guy not wanting to be passed. I just kinda noticed I'm hardly gaining on the truck ahead while I'm at a pretty good clip. Then as I get closer and the road gets more curvy, he starts showing his cards... either he was having fun or getting defensive. I think the latter but could be wrong.

Two groups of riders decided to visit this Parkway on Saturday, so we had a pack of 16 enjoying it. Just before we entered, a maroon Corvette took off to have a spirited run. Sooooooo tempting to give chase. Word is getting out about this new road. Hope you can get out here on two wheels. BTW, I go through Wichita on my way to Oklahoma where I explore eastern OK and western AR. You aren't far from some great riding.

Ice was what I thought I saw too.
Even tried to stand the bike up right as I went over it (in my mind).
Coulda sworn I felt the front wheel slip a tad ?
After that I went into the bedroom and changed my whitey-tightys.

Nope, no ice but it looks like it. I'm accelerating around that horseshoe curve at a pretty good lean and see the trail of liquid stuff across the lane. Uncertain of its "consistency" I straighten up a bit and coast through. Just snow melt water.

With a favorable forecast I returned to the Parkway and the Peak to Peak Highway last Saturday. Sunny and partly cloudy the prediction, or should I say guess. This is what I rode through on the way home. Sunny and partly cloud my a$!. At least no bugs...

Yes, this is it. "Children (Dream Version)" by Robert Miles. There's also "Children (Original Version)" on the album, and the start of it can be heard at the end of the video. Excellent as well.

Placed this vid at a Colorado Sportbike Club site and someone was pumped this was the song, noting he thought it was the perfect sportbike song. Not sure about that, but it is good and different music.
