Default Finally Went on a Ride Today

experiencing the delights of sensory overload... the change in altitude temps, the smell of moisture, the wind brushing the face, the thrust of tractor like torque, and aural delights of a powerful exhaust note.

Great pics sfarson. Beautiful place you live in......but it made me cold just looking at it. I will have you in my thoughts tomorrow when I play hookey in the afternoon and go for a ride. 61 degrees and sunny skies here.
So when are you gonna get that thing paved? 2 feet wide by how many miles?

Wicked man, that is cool!....or cold.

We have been having 40 deg C days with no wind and no clouds and tar bleed everywhere, shortys and tee shirt in the office!

Thank-you for thinking of me when on your ride today. I'm touched .

I've given thought to paving but the hesitations are many -- I'm looking to the north here and the big north facing slope doesn't get direct sunlight in the winter. I'm afraid it will be a skating rink in the winter. So I live with what they call "Natural Surface" .

You know, it isn't as bad here as some would think. We get the snowstorm and then the Colorado sun comes out for days if not weeks, and it melts. I ride year round, and probably have fewer days lost to snow than other places have lost to rain. Semi-arid climate here. Hope to be out by Friday .

Okay....I went on a ride for a bit today, but must confess. I forgot to think of you.

It really is a great looking place you live in. For some reason I picture your house a cabin in the middle of BFE with no power or running water. Enjoy the white stuff while the season lasts. You don't look like Grizzly Adams by any chance do you?

Yes! It's a CF Sato exhaust! Had to wait awhile for it to come in but worth it! Did the PC thing too .

Alamosa is a cold place. Usually in a match with Gunnison for the states lowest temps, if not the country's. Ever taken your bike north from Saguache to Hwy 50 through Cochetopa Canyon? Suhweet.

I'm in Park County.

Steve, all I have to say is, why in the world don't you own a snowmobile? The only thing as fun as a nice, picturesque, twisty road and an able sportbike, is a freshly groomed snowmobile trail through the woods on a performance trail sled.

I don't get to do either of those things very often though, thanks to living in Dorothy and Toto land.
