Default Soliciting Paint Opinions...Photoshopped 900ss/sp

Okay; here's the bike now; gold frame, silver wheels. BTW, I have a black anodized clutch cover, clutch slave, Cyclecat bar risers and breather on the bike now, and black Cyclecat rearsets coming:

OPTION 1; Silver Frame, Silver Wheels:

OPTION 2; Silver Frame, Black Wheels:

I was also considering going w/ a black frame, but in the end, that trellis frame should stand out, and I'm afraid that in black it would sorta blend away. As to graphics/logos, I'm driving myself nuts with options; gotta figure out the paint scheme first...

Anybody care to comment? Alternative suggestions welcome...

I like the silver frame/black rims. Seems to flow with the swingarm better.(?) I am also a fan of the retro "Ducati"

Of the options you showed, I prefer the silver frame and black wheels. I will, however, disagree about black frames. I've always been a fan of subdued color schemes, so my opinion is totally my own deal. There is a 996sps around these parts that has the frame powdercoated satin black, and it's completely awesome.

I would have my frame powdercoated in an instant if I wanted to deal with the hassle of stripping all the wires off of it. Especially since it has no engine in it now, it would probably take an hour or two to completely strip it down, but I don't want to put it back together.

I know i have no business in here but this gets my vote.
Not a gloss red but something with a little silver in it.

Or red frame and silver bodywork. Thats my favorite anyhow. I know its a bastardized color scheme

Actually, the red frame/black bodywork appeals to me, too; Mark Savory used it to great effect on his DesmoChopper...

Somebody please me!

Red frame/black bodywork would look sweet if you are going for the contrast look. Otherwise I would say silver frame and silver wheels. It flows nicely. The reason I would choose this is because it lets the bodywork stand out AND the frame/wheels. Black bodywork would just make the frame "pop" out. Depends on what you want noticed. Me thinks you can't go wrong with the silver frame and silver wheels. Great eye candy for the body and the frame.

white frame, white wheels, red, red, red body work. there is a guy that sells on e-bay all the time that makes excellent repro graphics. go with the white/silver/black Cagiva era logo. it'll be suh-weet.

Dang, that bike is looking great!

I too like the silver frame and black rims. Plus, you won't have to clean the black rims as often as the black rims will hide the dirt, grime, chain lube, dead squirrels, etc...

Bob,

I vote for black rims and frame. Depending on the graphics, you come up with, they should be the visual focus.

Hey, you could always put neon lighting on it...

Cheers

Black frame black wheels but then again I'm partial. If you have a sense of humor you could do black frame, black wheels and all white body work. Call it the screami'n seamen.

How about one more? Could you photoshop it to have a yellow frame and black wheels. I agree on the black wheels idea. I owned a `93 ss/sp with black wheels and they were easier to keep looking nice than the silver or gold matte finish wheels.
